its the time of year again! Portland Backpack is back partnering with Portland Parks Free Lunch and Play Program. After a year long hiatus, we are glad to be back in Portland Parks but we need your assistance. We will be handing food sacks at Alberta, Montavilla, and Peninsula Parks Wednesdays and Thursdays starting June 22nd -August 21st.
We are looking for volunteer to assist packing food sacks and making care cards at our warehouse Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11am-2pm.
We will need volunteers to hand out food sacks for 1.5 hours shifts in teams of two at Alberta, Montavilla, or Peninsula Parks, Wednesday and Thursdays.

Open Packing Events
Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:00 am - 2:00pm
Children are allowed to come with adult supervision
Volunteer Dropoff for Food Donations:
Join us to pack or organize at home or corporate packing events (Portland BackPack Food Packing List). Even a few hours can have a big impact. Drop off days for donations for the summer are Tuesdays from 11:00 am-2:00 pm and Wednesdays 11:00am-2:00pm. Please schedule an appointment for drop off or private packing events. Thank you
