THANK YOU to everyone that supported Portland Backpack and Portland Parks Free Lunch & Play! We handed out 1,092 food sacks. We are grateful to the 40 volunteers who distributed these at three parks, everyone who visited to our warehouse to make care cards and pack food sacks, and the corporate groups who held packing events!
Portland families continue to face the challeneges of staggering increased costs of living, decreased government support, and heartwrenching news headlines. So much feels overwhelming, but there is an area we can make a nourishing difference.
YOU’RE INVITED TO OUR CARING NEIGHBOR CLUB with a quick and easy registration for monthly donations. Through this club, a small contribution makes a large impact. Just $30 can feed a child for a month of weekends.

Volunteer and Food Donations
Join us to pack or organize at home or corporate packing events (Portland Backpack Food Packing List). Even a few hours can have a big impact!
Donation drop offs in fall/winter are Mondays 3:00pm - 5:00pm and Fridays 12:00pm-3:00pm.
Please schedule an appointment for drop off if these hours do not work.
